New Keyboard

Apple KeyboardI just got a new and very sleek keyboard. It’s the new Apple keyboard too. It’s amazing. The keys are not really keys, they’re buttons. It has iTunes remote on it so when I’m playing WoW, I don’t have to minimize the game to change songs when I want. It’s so convenient. And it was only compatible with Mac OSX 10.4.10 so I was afraid to upgrade because my headset’s mic wouldn’t work last time and I had to downgrade. But I did some research and found this website and that solved my problem right there and it worked when I upgraded my OS. I then upgraded iLife ‘08 and everything is up to date now! I’m so happy everything works. I was so afraid that I would have to sit on my butt for 4 hours Archive and Reinstalling my HD.

My New Mouse

Razer Mouse Pro v. 1.6I would say that this is pretty much a step-up from my old Mighty Mouse that came with my Mac. I really loved my Mac mouse but I came to realize that all of these mices’ 360º scroll-balls are going to give out one day and I’ll be frustrated and unable to scroll up or even down for that matter.

My first mouse for my Mac came wired and ready to use right from the box. This one lasted a good, let’s say, year? Yeah, this mouse really made me happy until the 360º scroll-ball just decided to stop scrolling down one day. I play World of Warcraft so I scroll down a lot while I’m playing the online RPG. I also used it for Photoshop CS. I really got great usage out of it until it broke. :(

Soon, I moved onto my new mouse. It was the same Mac Mighty Mouse but this time it was wireless. This one was a bit heavier because of the two AA batteries that it required to work. Thank god that this thing had Bluetooth… and that my Mac had it as well, hehe. Soon, this mouse started to really hurt my pinky finger when I was lifting it to move it when there was no more room to move the mouse. A.k.a – too much clutter on my dumb desk. So, I decided to go shopping.

I went to CompUSA and found that they were having a huge sale with plenty of things at 10% to 20% off. But all I found were small laptop mice and packages with a USB wireless keyboard and mouse. I didn’t want to spend around $100 for a flippin’ mouse so I left and took a drive to the Apple store. Of course, who would have thought that as soon as I walked in I would find a pretty cool mouse? The only downfall of this mouse is that it doesn’t have 360º scrolling. But honestly, I don’t really care. The coolest thing, ever, about this mouse is that it glows blue. Oh my gosh, it is so cool! It’s really comfortable and the sensitivity is amazing on this baby. I have to get used to its tracking because it is so fast. This mouse is really light and comfortable and my pinky finger is very happy lol.

Yet, another great piece of hardware for any computer. Go check out their website at razerpro.com.

A Way to Video Chat With AIM Triton and iChat

SkypeMy friend and I have been using Skype to video chat since I can’t see him in person because he lives in California. But soon after a month or so, Skype kept lagging and dropping our calls to each other every 30 seconds. This has been going on for a week. I am using a Macintosh and he is using Windows.

This was getting to the point where our conversations consisted of: On my gosh! It’s at 22 seconds! or Ok, this is really pissing me off! We had to figure something out before we threw our computers out the window.

AIM TritonSo what would we have done, you ask? Since he has a Windows computer, I wouldn’t want him getting strange viruses by downloading 10 different Video-based chat applications that were placed all over the internet. So I chose to download and test every single application since I have a Macintosh. Well, we didn’t like any of the applications that I found that were compatible with both Windows and Macintosh.

I thought we were out of luck. But he got the craziest of ideas: Trying to Video-Chat with AIM Triton and iChat. Of course, you all know that the newest version of AIM Triton somehow has disabled all audio and video communications with the iChat (Other than Instant Messaging).

But we have seemed to have found a solution: Read the rest of this entry »

Sony vs iPod Headphones

I was at school today and saw one of my friends with these really small Sony Headphones. Compared to the iPod ones my iPod came with when I bought it, they are a lot better.iPod Headphones Since my ears are very small, the iPod headphones hurt my ears. But the Sony headphones are soft, comfortable, and they don’t pressure my ears until they hurt. They fit really nice as well. The sound quality in these little guys are powerful. I’ve never seen such earphones like these.

The iPod headphones do break if they are pressured with too much sound and that they are too large to fit in small ears.Sony Headphones I have sore ears after about 30 minutes of listening to my iPod and it’s difficult to make them comfortable again. It’s frustrating. When I tried the Sony headphones, they fit perfectly in my ears and I never felt uncomfortable in them when I was listening to my iPod. The only problem is that they are around $50 headphones. Too pricey? I don’t really care. I would like to be comfortable in my headphones without having my ears sore after taking them out because they were too big. I’m going to get them once I get my next paycheck. :D
