My friend and I have been using Skype to video chat since I can’t see him in person because he lives in California. But soon after a month or so, Skype kept lagging and dropping our calls to each other every 30 seconds. This has been going on for a week. I am using a Macintosh and he is using Windows.
This was getting to the point where our conversations consisted of: On my gosh! It’s at 22 seconds! or Ok, this is really pissing me off! We had to figure something out before we threw our computers out the window.
So what would we have done, you ask? Since he has a Windows computer, I wouldn’t want him getting strange viruses by downloading 10 different Video-based chat applications that were placed all over the internet. So I chose to download and test every single application since I have a Macintosh. Well, we didn’t like any of the applications that I found that were compatible with both Windows and Macintosh.
I thought we were out of luck. But he got the craziest of ideas: Trying to Video-Chat with AIM Triton and iChat. Of course, you all know that the newest version of AIM Triton somehow has disabled all audio and video communications with the iChat (Other than Instant Messaging).
